THE BACK(sob-)STORY________________________________________________________________


<sup>THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY BABY. My painstaking efforts and copious amounts of wonky painting (slowed down tenfold thanks to a partially dysfunctional mouse) bore fruit when, after aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages and then some, the manip deigned to bend to my will and assume some semblance of decency. Then I couldn’t find a background, and I was half-tempted to just LEAVE it when FIIIIIIIIIIIInally, something suitable came around.

But this is ME, folksies. Something HAD to go wrong. So, true to form, in a horrendous, suicidal lapse of concentration, I merged the layers and then saved the file. And then sat staring stupidly at the split-second masterstroke undoing of HOURSANDHOURS of hard labour.



And then I submitted it, imperfections galore and whatnot, if only to preclude moar heartache. So take it with a grain of salt.</sup>
